APPEAL: Please help the Blazevic family to transport their critically ill mother to Serbia (PHOTO)

Snezana Brkic’s (59) long anticipated stay in the UAE with her daughter, son in law and granddaughter has turned into a sad agony due to a sudden serious illness.

Svetlana Blazevic who lives in Ras Al Khaimah with her lovely family was overjoyed when her mother, Snezana Brkic (59) from Serbia arrived a few weeks ago to help take care of her five-year old grandson Nicholas, who loved spending time with his grandmother while his parents are at work.

Sadly, this happy arrangement didn’t last long. It ended abruptly two weeks ago when Mrs Brkic suffered a massive inter-cerebral haemorrhage. She has urgently been transported and hospitalized in the Dubai's Iranian Hospital where, on March 15, Snezana underwent a brain surgery that went well, according to the doctors. Snezana is now stable, but still critically ill and unable to eat, communicate or walk on her own, hence the supply of oxygen and liquid food through tubes are vital at this stage.

The estimated time and extent of her recovery is still unclear and the patient's hospitalization is a must, therefore Snezana's worried and finacialy exhausted family has decided to relocate her mum back to Serbia, where the cost of treatment and care will cost a lot less and is manageable.

The family is hopeful that the doctors will agree that Snezana is stable enough to be discharged in the next few days and be flown to Serbia.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Snezana unfortunately did not have a medical insurance at the time of this emergency. Cost of the needed surgery and post-surgical care that her family, Svetlana and Miroslav Blazevic now have to pay at the Iranian Hospital is extremely large.

This young couple needs our financial help and support to settle the rising bill at the hospital, as well to pay for Snezana's medically assisted flight home.

Although the main purpose of the humanitarian organization Mali Svet ("Small World") in Dubai is to collect and distribute funds amongst the underprivileged children in Serbia, they have promptly agreed to avail their PayPal account in order to speed up this urgent and much needed fundraising for the Blazevic family.

Please DONATE TODAY! All your donations are welcome and much needed, thank you in advance!
